Fichet-Bauche (France)

The history of the Fichet-Bauche brand begins back in 1825

with the opening of a locksmith's workshop by Alexander Fichet in Paris. In 1840 Fichet creates the first modern fire-resistant castle. The demand for it becomes so high that Fishet has to open two new factories in Lyon and Marseille.

In 1879, Fichet builds its first bank vault with rental safes. Bauche puts on an unforgettable demonstration by investing the equivalent of 100,000 francs in one of his safes before repeatedly exposing it to fire. The banknotes remained intact. Further cooperation between Fichet and Bauche leads to the merger of the companies in 1967. And in 1999, Fichet-Bauche is acquired by the Gunnebo Security Group.

It is worth noting that in 2014 the company created the innovative InviKtus safe, providing triple certified protection against burglary, fire and explosion.
